Why Weight Loss has Become a Global Concern

For the first time in history, the number of obese people now outweighs the number of malnourished people. Several factors are adding to that statistic: the inactive state of most people caught in the electronic age. Marginal weight loss can be attained through personal efforts, however, overweight and obesity is increasingly becoming a concern that requires the intervention of professionals and other service providers. This is expanding the scope of weight management services market. Obesity is a global public health concern, impacting millions of consumers and increasing their risk for many chronic diseases. The demand for foods high in protein and low in fat is on the rise.

Half of the globe's population is considered to be obese, with four hundred million being adults. According to the WHO, or World Health Organization, seven years from now, in 2015, 2.3 billion adults are estimated to become overweight and over seven hundred million will suffer from obesity. Overweight status was defined as a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 29.99, obesity as a BMI over 30, and underweight as a BMI below 18.5. The use of self-reported anthropometric data means that height is likely to be over-estimated and weight under-estimated. Obesity is also fast becoming a worldwide problem of global concern.

The primary targets are individuals wanting to maintain their weight and body fitness, and those looking to lose weight quickly. The food and beverage  market is the largest segment and is expected to reach US$215.9 billion by 2014 at a CAGR of 10.8%. There is no point in choosing the yo-yo effect programs where you might tend to lose weight and then gain it back. So, choose those programs which will give a long time effect and is also cool and appealing. If you are beginning to lose weight and muscle mass, you probably need to eat more protein and get more calories. This generally means eating more foods containing fat and protein.

A breakfast is only  complete with raw fruits and veggies complemented by a slice of healthy sprouted wheat bread. I am not a Doctor or any kind of health care professional. I'm just like you, someone who cares about his health with an opinion.

Raw food diet is not just about veggies and fruits. They may be created more intriguing by adding versions on a theme, such as dried blueberry chips or other dehydrated fruits. Raw food diet is also very helpful for body building as it gives you innumerable strength so that you can lift up the weights easily. Usually ingredients like minerals, enzymes and vitamins are depleted with cooking of food so raw food is preferred by those who want immense strength.
